To play your files, you'll need a bridge

Omniphony's engine decodes nothing on its own. To play a given format it loads a bridge — a plugin that turns your input into PCM + object metadata for the renderer. The player covers common cases; other (and experimental) formats live in separate bridge projects that plug into liborender through the stable bridge_api ABI. No bridge for your format → no sound.

Built on the mighty mpv media player — the player is all theirs; Omniphony just teaches it spatial audio. Huge thanks to the mpv project. ♥

Builds are unsigned — your OS may warn on first launch (right-click → Open on macOS, "More info → Run anyway" on Windows). macOS builds are Apple-silicon (arm64); Linux and Windows are x86-64.
